Help fight exotic plants at Archbold Biological Station!

This is one of five volunteer work events helping to fight exotic plants on National Public Lands Day on the Lake Wales Ridge. Exotic species crowd out native species and cause environmental harm, and your effort removing invasives in a conservation area will be very helpful!
This event at Archbold Biological Station is now full. Please see the main website at NPLD on the Ridge for more opportunities. You may also contact the event coordinator at bill.parken@myfwc.com.
Please bring your work gloves and wear long pants, long sleeves, and a hat and sun screen for sun protection. You may wish to bring hiker's water bottle (we'll have plenty of drinking water).
Driving Directions
From the intersection of US 27 and SR 70 south of Lake Placid, turn west on SR 70. Go one mile to CR 17/Old SR 8 and turn left (south) on Old SR 8. Go 1.8 miles to Archbold Biological Station (entrance on your right). Follow the entrance road to the meeting area in the main parking lot.
National Public Lands Day on the Lake Wales Ridge is hosted by the Ridge Rangers -- an organization of volunteers who work with conservation agencies on and near the Lake Wales Ridge, helping to restore wildlife habitat. See myfwc.com/ridgerangers
