In recognition of World Wildlife Day and National Wildlife Day Chinsegut is hosting a day devoted to wildlife conservation. Hear from several agencies and volunteers about local programs to monitor protect and preserve space for Florida’s Threatened species. Free event, no registration required.

Speakers will present on the hour between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. At noon there will be a dedication of the new Chinsegut Chimney Swift Tower by Hernando Audubon Society including light refreshments. Speakers will include representatives from FWC, Hernando County Solid Waste and more. Several craft vendors will display their wares, a food vendor will be on site. A display of nature photography from local FWC site will be inside the Center. You can submit your photos for display provided they are nature or wildlife related and from and FWC managed area, call (352) 754-6722 for information on submissions. Stop in to join this fun day devoted to learning about the public agencies that promote the conservation of local wildlife and how you can get involved! Schedule will be updated as event approaches.
