Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend

We are planning several work days to make bird boxes for the Southeastern American Kestrel (SEAK), the smallest of our falcons. We are aiming to build 20-30 boxes and would welcome anyone to attend, especially if you have woodworking skills. We'll be working in the workshop starting at 9 AM - 1 PM.

The Southeastern American Kestrel is a cavity nester and normally nests in old trees. Many landowners remove old trees from their properties and we are therefore supplementing the cavities with nest boxes. We welcome anyone with woodworking skills to attend.

On Thursday December 7th we will be measuring and cutting the timber, which is ideally suited for those with some woodworking experience.

On Friday December 8th and Saturday December 9th we will be constructing the boxes, which will be a more general work day and all are welcome to attend.
