Let your creativity shine in this program designed for elementary ages and up (adults are welcome too!).  We’ll start at the conservation center, then we’ll walk down to the outdoor classroom at May’s Prairie where we’ll use natural materials found at Chinsegut to make paint brushes. Then, each participant will receive several papers to paint on. We’ll provide suggestions, but the content of each painting is up to the individual. Additional materials will be provided to add depth and interest to your artwork. All materials will be provided, although participants are welcome to bring additional materials if they wish! This program is designed to be fun for all ages, although due to the dexterity required, younger children may find it difficult to build the brushes.

The total walking distance to the outdoor classroom and back is 0.8 miles round-trip along our hiking trails which are sandy and sometimes uneven in terrain. We’ll have an igloo water cooler for participants to refill their water bottles at the outdoor classroom, but please be aware there are no restrooms at the outdoor classroom.

Spots are limited and registration is required. Please only register the people who are participating in your group. For instance, if you are a parent or guardian registering your child, but you yourself are not participating, please only register your child with your contact information. *Chinsegut has one track chair available on a first come, first serve basis for people with mobility challenges.
