Join us as we assemble predator-exclusion cages for a scallop restoration project. These cages will keep scallops safe from predators enabling them to reproduce and increase the number of juveniles. These cages will be deployed throughout St. Andrew's Bay in the fall. Additional information below.

Assemble Scallop Cages

The Fish & Wildlife Research Institute (research division of FWC) started a 10-year scallop restoration program earlier this spring. Live hatchery-reared scallops will be placed in predator-exclusion cages to protect them throughout their reproduction season. We need help assembling these cages and hope you can join us to assist us in this important task. This event is similar to one we held in April this year.
