The Jax Zoo is hosting a Project WILD Workshop geared toward non-formal educators and their families. If you are a seasoned home school educator or new to the practice this great training will provide you with a curriculum guide your kids can grow with. Project WILD is an international environmental education curriculum that teaches kids how to process information and ask questions about the world around them. Project WILD has more than 30 years of use in education environments across the globe teaching youth how to think and not what to think about environmental topics. All lessons incorporate wildlife, a natural fascination for children and are aligned to education standards for science and other disciplines. Additional STEM learning components are also listed in the guide. Fees for this workshop cover zoo admission and snacks during the workshop.
