Join us in honor of National Wildflower Week as we celebrate with a guided hike at nearby Perry Oldenburg WEA. In addition to the many wildflowers that are benefiting from long awaited spring rain, recent wildlife sightings at Perry Oldenburg include gopher tortoise, fox squirrel, deer, quail and Southeastern American Kestrel! The trail we’ll be walking on is unpaved through a mix of shaded and unshaded areas and is 1.5 miles in length. There are no restrooms or water fountains at Perry Oldenburg so please plan accordingly and bring water. Long pants, close-toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen are recommended.

There is no address for the Perry Oldenburg entrance, so to get there visitors must navigate to the intersection of Deer Run Road and Government Road off of US-41 in Brooksville, then there will be signs showing where to park.

Spots are limited and registration is required. To register, click on 'Register' above.
