The Florida Black Bear Curriculum is a joint project of the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) and Defenders of Wildlife. The Curriculum Guide is a comprehensive series of lessons on the natural history and conservation needs of Florida's black bear. Designed to educate and stimulate teachers and students. The lessons were designed to address many subject areas such as reading, language arts, history, geography, social studies, math, art and science. Each lesson is correlated to the Florida Standards for each subject addressed.

This is a FREE workshop! Educators will receive training, a certificate and a free activity guide!  This event will be held at Greynold's Park in North Miami Beach.  There is a parking fee of $10.00 per vehicle.  Parking fees collected at pay stations or Pay-by-Phone. Enter the park at NE 22nd Avenue & Miami Gardens Drive, go left into the park.  Follow the road on the left and we will be by the river on your left.
