We will be helping Mackay Gardens and Lakeside Preserve staff to remove rosary pea around the preserve. All hand tools and garbage bags will be provided. We hope to remove as much of this invasive vine as we can! This workday is part of a new collaboration with Mackay Gardens and Lakeside Preserve. We hope to start a successful partnership with them and continue to assist them during Ridge Ranger workdays!
Restrooms are located at the main parking lot (945 Mackay Blvd, Lake Alfred, FL 33850)
Goal: to scout new areas of invasive species and remove as much as possible
Recommended attire: long pants, closed toe shoes, hat, and sunscreen. Recommended gear: work gloves and water bottle. Optional bring-along: snacks. Cold water and restrooms are located near the work site.

Driving Directions:
From the North: Take US 27 South towards Haines City. Take the ramp on the right for US-92 W/ US-17 S/ US Highway 17 92 W for about 5 miles. Then turn left onto N Glencruiten Ave, which will turn into S Glencruiten Ave after .3 miles. Follow for another .7 miles and then turn left onto Mackay Blvd. From there you will make a quick right into the main parking lot. From the South: Take US 27 North towards Haines City.
