Bonnet Springs Park is excited to share an upcoming professional development opportunity for teachers to earn in-service points. A Project WILD and Aquatic WILD combo workshop is happening on December 6th from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Each participant will receive a Project WILD and Aquatic WILD booklet along with a basket of supplies to conduct some of activities covered during the workshop in your classroom! A $10 fee to reserve your spot is required. Space is very limited, so be sure to register soon!

Project WILD is an environmental education curriculum that uses wildlife as a gateway to explore topics such as habitats, human–wildlife interactions, personal stewardship and wildlife in art. Since the early 1980s, Florida educators have used Project WILD in classrooms and nature centers to connect students with the natural world. Lessons are aligned with state and national education standards and the Project WILD and Aquatic WILD guides provide tools for unit planning and implementing engaging, standards-based lessons. Educators can also earn professional development credit or CEUs through their school district or professional organization.

This event will take place in the GiveWell Community Foundation Nature Center Classroom. There will be a lunch break, and food is available for purchase at the Depot, or you may bring your own.

Space is limited and you must register for this workshop.  Register Here
